Sarah Jilani is a British/Turkish freelance writer and PhD student in postcolonial literatures at The University of Cambridge. She has written on contemporary art, film and books for publications including The Economist, The Times Literary Supplement, ArtReview, and The Independent. A self-taught painter, she has exhibited in Istanbul (2014) and York (2011), and her artwork has featured in White Coffee Magazine, Notes, and The Oxonian Review.
