Since I can’t carry my Rorschach test
with me everywhere I go to get to
really know you layered people
who keep your truths undercover
I will be asking you what you think of
other people so you can freely tell me
where it hurts and where it makes you
flutter your eyelashes in delight
so we can sit next to each other
looking out in the same direction
at our life smudges
together, and maybe we will begin
to see the darkest inkiest blots start to
move across our pages in the right direction
