Marion Cromb is currently studying MSci Physics at the University of Birmingham. After sixth form, they completed an Art Foundation year at Central Saint Martin’s, and have always enjoyed both science and art. Their other interests include going to the cinema and the theatre. ‘Physics can be an intensive course, but I find it worthwhile to find the time to de-stress with some sketching. I am very grateful for the weekly life drawing sessions held by the UoB ArtSoc, and take my sketchbook everywhere in case inspiration (or indeed boredom) strikes when out and about on campus or in town. These sketches show the UoB campus dinosaur (which I have unofficially nicknamed “lil Joe”) and the City of Colours street art festival in Digbeth.’
