I recently started painting memories and moments from my everyday life as a
way of documenting the little parts that I might otherwise forget. The paintings
so far are mostly of my cat, looking for cars with my son and watching Louis
Theroux.
I paint each image on the back of a vintage postcard to juxtaposition the image
on the front that has been created to appeal to a wide audience and my naive
painting on the back with a niche appeal of me and my family. The naive style
is perfect for painting memories as it is imperfect in nature, and memories are
never clear and defined.
