for the purpose of experiment

gather prized possessions
skulk towards windows
…………..toss them onto streets heavy with voices
run wild-eyed down hollow stairs
……………………………………can of petrol in hand
…………..dance around the heap
douse it           douse it            douse it
strike a match and freeze the scene

lie amongst cinders
…………………….eyes like spinning plates
wait for howls of black alarms
everything
………….in its right place
